This statement applies to personal information held about individuals and customers. VoiceNet are registered with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Voicenet does its best to safeguard the privacy of your personal data held on our databases and over the internet.

  • PERSONAL INFORMATION

Voicenet does not share, disclose or sell any personally information (i.e. your name, address, telephone numbers or e-mail address) collected online or over the telephone. If Voicenet does decide to share your data with third parties for marketing in the future, we will provide notification and the opportunity for its customers and prospects to select whether they would prefer that the we do not provide such information about them to third parties. 

Personal Information which we include: 

  1. That we obtain from you or already hold about you on our databases
  2. Information that we receive from your enquiries.
  3. That we receive from anyone permitted to give information about you to us or a member of staff.
  • USE OF INFORMATION

Voicenet collects information online by asking you for it, e.g. when you appy for an account, apply for a job, or answer to a questionnaire or promotion. A customer's name, address and telephone number are the most important pieces of information, but we might request other information, which may be used in the future when contacting you.

We will use personal information about you for a number of purposes, including:

  1. to help to identify you when you call us to make an enquiry or a change to your account.
  2. to send you information, promotions or bills or to telephone you, with information about other services, promotions or products that we offer
  3. to help us eliminate fraud and/or detect loss, we may do certain credit checks with credit agencies when you apply to take a service or product.
  • DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

We do not sell mailing lists to third parties for their marketing schemes. Where we have told you in advance, we may disclose certain information to third parties such as a telecoms network service provider for purposes solely connected with the provision of our service via their networks. Where required or permitted by law, information may be provided to others, such as the Police or the Inland Revenue.

This helps us to understand how our customers and potential customers use our web site so that we can improve our features, layout and of the site.
