| What
do I need?
We can provide service from any
mobile phone. Most mobile providers charge heavily for dialling
freephone numbers, for that we provide an 020 access which would
normally go on your free minutes. Unfortunately this is not true for
pay-as-you-go mobiles. |
|
| How
do I make a call?
If your number is registered with
our service, you simply dial our 020 access number or the 0800
number if your provider allows free access. If your mobile number is
registered with us, there is no need to enter your account number
and pin, just dial normally, when prompted remembering to include
the full area code (i.e. 020) and number, do not press the green
button as you will automatically be connected. If you haven't
registered your number with our service, you will be required to
enter your account number and pin, after which you will be prompted
to enter the telephone number you want to call. For international
calls just dial 00 before the country code. |
|
What
about line rental and mobile number?
You still continue
paying your line rental to your mobile provider (e.g. Orange). You
will receive a separate bill for the cost of your calls from
Voicenet. If you intend to use Voicenet on your mobile it is worth
switching to the lowest possible line rental tariff. |
|
| What
are the calling periods?
Our call rates are either flat
rate and apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the lower per
minute tariffs or otherwise on the per second tariff, three periods
apply: Standard - apply
Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm; Economy - apply Monday to Friday
6pm to 8am; Weekend - apply midnight Friday to midnight
Sunday. |

Does
my mobile provider charge for any calls I make through Voicenet?
When using the 020
access number your phone supplier will charge you for a local call,
which could well go on your free minutes allocation. On the 0800
access, you may be charged by you mobile provider, if you are unsure
and think that you may be charged for a free phone number it is best
to check with your network operator. |
|
| Do
I need to enter my account number and pin to make a second call?
No, simply press ## to end the call
and you will be prompted to enter your next number. |
